According to a recent Nielsen survey the average U.S. citizen spends over 60 hours a month online. Of this, viewing content accounts for 42 percent and social networking 22 percent. And, no surprise, the most popular online service is Google (82 percent of all users visit or use the search engine). Interestingly, Brazil, Italy and Spain show higher rates of online social network usage than the United States (as a parent of a U.S. teenager, I would dispute this).
